James D. Parks, 71, of Somerdale, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 13, 2020. Legacy Born in Camden, New Jersey, James has been a resident of Somerdale for 34 years. He was a maintenance mechanic for Taylor Farms. James was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served from 1967- 1971. A hard working man, James was loved by his family. Many cherished memories were made on cruises to such places as the Eastern Caribbean, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Bahamas and their favorite cruise, Nova Scotia. If you knew James, you knew that there weren't many times you would see him without his cigarettes, Winston Lights, no matter how many times he was told to quit. James will be missed by his family and friends. Family Beloved husband of 50 years and two weeks to Nancy (nee Bradley); loving father of Jaime and Jonathan (Lori Beth); devoted grandfather of 6; dear brother of Betty Hutchinson, Thomas Parks, Billy Parks, Linda Parks, Patty Gaimari and the late David, Dolly, Margaret, Stephen, Kenny, Larry and Ernie. James is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Farewell Tribute Services will be held privately for James.
