Graciela “Grace/Martha” S. Oberlies - A Celebration of Life service for Grace Oberlies, 74, of West Columbia, will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Kittiwake Baptist Church, 420 Kitti Wake Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements. Grace Oberlies passed away October 29, 2020. Born in Juarez, Mexico, she was a daughter of the late Bernadino Saenz and Susana Saenz-Diaz. Grace lived her life to the fullest first for her Savior Jesus with a servant heart. She loved her family, her church, singing for the Lord and enjoyed serving others in Christ name. Grace was a member of Kittiwake Baptist Church, and a member of the “Charlton Jubilee Singers” of Cayce. Grace is survived by her daughters, Grace Thompson (Tim) of Lexington, Jackie Oberlies of West Columbia; her favorite grandson, Caleb Thompson; her siblings, Evaristo, Ignacia, Guillermina, Bernardino, Susana, Sylvia, Roberto, Armando, Irma and Jorge. Grace is also survived by a large and loving family. In addition to her parents, Grace was predeceased by her loving husband of 37 years, Charles “Obie” Oberlies.
