David A. Fitzgerald

David Anthony Fitzgerald, 46, of West Deptford passed away suddenly on November 21, 2020. Legacy David was born in Voorhees, NJ on November 3, 1974 and grew up in the Catalina Hills development of Gloucester Township. He graduated from Triton High School and went on to receive a certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. David was married to Hope (nee Murschell) on June 8, 2012. David worked as an EMT for Gloucester County Emergency Medical Services. He was passionate about his service to the county and the community as an EMT. After nearly 5 years as a part time employee at GCEMS, he had the proudest moment of his career when he achieved full time status in April 2020. His fellow employees were a second family to him. David enjoyed sports of all kinds, and especially looked forward to attending Flyers games. He was dedicated to his family and time spent with them. His Jeep was his prized possession, and he engaged in several Jeep community groups for recreation and charity events. Travel, especially cruising, was another passion. Family David is survived by his loving wife Hope; his beloved mother Grace Fitzgerald; his brother Thomas (Meghan) Fitzgerald Jr.; his favorite Niece and Goddaughter Sarah; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Mark and Sheila Murschell and many other family and friends. David is preceded in death by his father Thomas Sr. and grandparents Benjamin and Barbara DiPietro. Farewell Tribute A private visitation and funeral service will be held at McGuniness Funeral Home with Deacon Nick officiating. While visitation and service will be private due to need to social distance, the service will be webcasted at 11 am on Monday November 30, 2020. All friends and family not attending the service are welcome to participate virtually (The link address is https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/254196672 ). Private interment will immediately follow the funeral at New St Mary Cemetery in Bellmawr, NJ. Funeral arrangements are being handled by McGuiness Funeral Home.
