On Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 3:31pm, God received an angel as Mary Ann Clayton passed away at the age of 79. Legacy Mary Ann lit up the room with her infectious laugh and radiant smile, and had a very strong faith and love for Jesus. She enjoyed going to the Jersey Shore, Elvis, dancing, cooking, bird watching, visiting with friends and family, and most of all, truly loved being a Nanny. Mary Ann survived many trials and tribulations in her recent years, but was a true warrior and fought through any battle she faced with her deep faith and admirable strength, while always putting other's needs before her own. God has truly gained a special gift and she will be deeply missed and forever loved. Family Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend, Mary Ann was referred to as “Mimi”, “Mom”, “Aunt Mary Ann”, and most notably, “Nanny”. Mary Ann was born on April, 28, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is preceded in death by her father John Clayton, mother Josephine Kachinski, loving partner Salvatore “Sam” Vilardi, brothers Peter “Bozie” and David Clayton, and she is survived and deeply loved by brother Jeffrey (Linda), sisters Gloria Mostofian (Albert), Kathy “Sissy” Kehoe (Bob) and Alice Clayton, sons Anthony Lombardo (Janet) and Michael Lombardo (Colleen Johnson), and most fondly and adoringly, her grandchildren Amanda, Anthony, Brett, Gianna and great grandchild Lilliana Hope, and so many other loving relatives, including cousins, nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces, and many many friends who loved her dearly. Farewell Ceremony Relatives and friends are invited to Mary Ann’s visitation on Friday, August 20, 2021, 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ, where the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment Woodbury Memorial Park.
