Mrs. Jean T. Peachey passed away September 4, 2021. Jean was born to Charles and Annie Mae Tuten on July 5, 1937 in Grays, SC. Jean is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 40 years, Jack T. Peachey. Jean is survived by two brothers, Curtis Tuten and Wesley Tuten (Mary), numerous nephews, one son, John Peachey (Cindy), and two grandchildren, Alex Peachey and Megan Peachey. Jean Peachey was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church. She was also a member of Loyalty Chapter Easter Star, Grannby Daughters of the American Revolution, SC Colonial Dames, and the SC Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Jean earned a Master’s Degree in Math and retired from teaching in both Roanoke, VA and Charleston, SC after 31 years. Jean will be deeply missed by her friends and family. In lieu of Flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Northside Baptist Church or the National Kidney Foundation. A Funeral Service will be held for Jean Peachey on Sunday September 12, 2021 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park at a later date.
