Esther Angela Westbury, 75, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. Born on February 4, 1946 she was the daughter of the late John Conrad Geiger Sr., and Katie Louise Geiger Philbrick. Esther was the matriarch of her family. If you could define family, it would be Esther! She had a great sense of humor and was very quick on her toes to come up with something witty to say. She had compassion to help others and always lend a hand when needed. Her love and compassion did not stop with just people; she also extended this to animals, especially dogs. Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Lowell Westbury of Lexington, SC; children, Angela (Jimmy) Huggins of West Columbia, SC, Tonya Cobia Percival of Savannah, GA, Sean (Julie) Ruff of Rock Hill, SC, and Brittany (Dylan) Carlson of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Tabitha, Byron, Madelyn, Harrison, and Haley; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Deborah Legrand of Little Mountain, SC; special friends, Mark and Penny McCoy of Saluda, SC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and fur babies. In addition to her parents, Esther was predeceased by her brother, Conrad Geiger and sister in-law, Joanne Geiger. The family request memorials to be made to Pets Inc. 300 Orchard Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170 or a charity of one's choice to an animal mission in memory of Esther Angela Westbury. A private memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 for the family at Thompson's Funeral Home of Lexington, Lexington, SC.
