January 25th, 1948 - April 18th, 2024
Robert D. Moreno, of Mantua, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was 76. Legacy Born in Bogota, Colombia; Bob was raised in Gloucester City and graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and followed that with a short tour in Korea. Bob returned home and worked for Camden County Health Services for more than 35 years until he retired in 2011. Bob will be remembered as a loving, generous man who journeyed through life with a smile and a generous heart. He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan through the great and lean years. Bob had a fondness for an eclectic collection of music and he loved to dance. Most of all, Bob loved his family. He never missed an event for his nieces and nephews. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family Bob is the beloved husband of Amy (Nee Cartwright); devoted father of Amanda (Daniel) Daneker; cherished grandfather of Colton Robert Daneker; loving brother of Elsa M. the late Robert Phillips, Joseph A. (Bernadette) Moreno, and the late Vilma deFlumer. Loving uncle of Joseph R. (Theresa) O'Connell, Nicole C. (Scott) Harper, Megan A. (Jorge)Barrios, Katherine (Eduardo Solano)Sanchez, Justin A (Lindsey). , Brandon J. , Brielle A (Kevin)DiBiase. and Marissa L. Moreno. Great uncle of Meghan A. & Matthew T. Sturak, Taylor Shute, Angela Vadiz, Savanah Harper, Calvin J.& Carson D. O'Connell, Isabella A. & Alexandra M. Barrios, Kevin DiBiase, Jr., Miabella DiBiase and the late Aria Moreno. Bob is also survived by his brother in law, Pete (Kathy) Cartwright and their children Adam & Kara Cartwright Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's viewing on Saturday, April 27, 2024 after 8:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM in St. Mary's R. C. Church, 425 Monmouth Street, Gloucester, NJ. Interment with Military Honors in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ.
