Joyce “Jojo” Helen Perkins of Lexington, South Carolina, 75, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023. She was born July 19, 1948, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Reverend Royce and Corine Adkins. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by sister, Janice Faircloth. Mrs. Perkins is survived by her husband, Tommie Perkins; son, Neal Perkins; daughter, Mironda Perkins; and two grandchildren, Tia Bowers and Evan Perkins. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her husband, Tommie, were married for 54 years. As a military wife, she and Tommie traveled all over. She will always be remembered for her big heart and playful personality. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. She will be missed by many. Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Rd, Lexington, SC, on Thursday, October 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Services and burial will be held on Friday, October 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229.
