David W. Read, Sr., age 65, of West Deptford, NJ 1952-May 25, 2018 Legacy Dave was a loving and supportive family man who dedicated all his love to his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed entertaining friends at home. He was an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed testing his luck at the casinos. Dave’s sharp wit and calming voice enforced his role as the go-to guy for any question you had or any advice needed, or simply a kind counselor to listen to your troubles. Life’s challenges rolled off his strong shoulders and always had the be calm, ‘oh well’, and the ‘it is what it is’ attitude. Family Beloved husband of 20 years to Wanda (née Shepard); Devoted father of David Read, Jr., Tiffany Ripley, Todd Read (Mandy), Robert Fleming, and Tara Fleming-Carroll (Patrick); Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Dakota, Kassy, Zachary, Anna, Kayla, Ryan, Neiko, Chaz, Sean, and Randy; Adored son of Florence (née Conn) and Harold Read; Dear brother to Douglas Read, Diedre Leonard (John), Derek Read, Dawn Abbott (Will), and the late Donna P. Read; Treasured uncle to many. Memorial Service is Saturday June 2, starting 10:00 a.m. following with light refreshments till 1p.m. at the Wenonah United Methodist Church 105 Willow St. Wenonah N.J. 08090 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to BRAINTUMORCOMMUNITY.ORG RACE FOR HOPE team Dave Read OR a charity of your choice. share the memories … share love … ShareLife® with McGuinness Funeral Home
