Michael Louis DiGiacomo Sr. (92) of Woodbury died on May 13, 2018. Mike was a bricklayer, musician and played and taught accor­dion. He was a member of the Aqua String Band. Mike’s favorite musician was Art Van Damme. He also loved to dance. Mike served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946 on the USS Cincinnati and USS Montpelier. He loved his spaghetti and meatballs. He went to be with Mom on Mother’s Day. Mike was married to Constance for 53 years before her passing in 2011. Survived by his sister Tilda Gerst, and his four children Michelle (Gambogi), Michael, Maureen (Acker) and Mark, his beloved grandchildren: Sean, Alex, Danielle and Gina Gambogi; Mia, Jenna and Michael DiGiacomo; Alexandra, Emily and Andrew Acker; Markus and Felix Kristoffer­sen DiGiacomo and one great grandson, James Gambogi. We will miss you Dad, Brother, Friend, Poppop and Great Poppop. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Sat­urday, June 2 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Woodbury, NJ at 10:30am. Interment will follow the mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. Contributions can be made to the University of Pennsylvania Heart Failure Program Fund.
