Donald Ritchie Lesuer

Donald Ritchie Lesuer, age 73, of Hilton Head Island, SC passed away on October 8, 2019 after a long battle with multiple cancers including prostate and multiple myeloma at the Fraser Health Center. He was born on April 27, 1946 to Donald and Pearle Lesuer in Waltham, MA. He leaves behind his wife Suzanne Lesuer; a son David; daughter-in-law Lara; two granddaughters, Faith and Ava, all of Livermore, CA; sister, Barbara Alden of Deerfield, MA; brother, Robert Lesuer and wife Melanie of Plymouth, MA; a niece, Martha of MA and a nephew Ben and his family stationed at Fort Stewart, NC. Don was a graduate of Waltham High, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Stevens Institute, and he received his doctorate in materials management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. He was in the US Army Reserve for 8 years. He pursued his scientific career at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in Livermore, CA for 38 years. A very active person, Don was an avid biker, swimmer, runner and an accomplished triathlete. He belonged to the Power Squadron and enjoyed his Boston Whaler boat for years. A Celebration of Life and burial will be held in Livermore, CA at a later date.
