Henry Reese Massey, TidePointe, and longtime Point Comfort Resident Absent from the body, present with the Lord, and now singing in the Heavenly Choir. August 15, 1931-January 8, 2022 45-year HHI Resident, Charlotte, NC native, Central High Class of 1949, Attended Duke University with 3 brothers. Preceded in death by parents W.E. And Sarah Corley Massey, brothers Benjamin, William, Richard, and spouse Patsy Elliott Massey. A dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church and choir, Charter Member Hilton Head Noon Lions Club, early Camp Leo organizer, Avid sportsman, hunter, fisherman, boater, Self-appointed HH historian, Extensive world traveler, Island realtor/Dunes Marketing, and good friend to all he met. Survived by children Rebecca Massey Lemons (Jack), Sarah Massey Rogers (Tony), Mark Reese Massey (Pamela Clark), Matthew Scott Massey (Terry Tuttle), David Godwin and friend Laura Bush, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild., 2 sisters in law, Jane and Irene, numerous loving nieces and nephews. Close friends Fran Kemp and Janis Karpinski. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hilton Head Lions Club/Camp Leo, First Presbyterian, or the Donor’s choice. A private family service will be held.
