Betty Disney Gibson

Betty Disney Gibson, 93, of Hanahan, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 2, 2022. She battled her long illness bravely with a wonderful sense of humor and strength. She grieved the loss of her love, her husband Willie Duke Gibson, who preceded her in death. Betty was born January 8, 1929 in Jellico, Tennessee, daughter of the late Oliver S. Disney and the late Pauline Litton Disney. She has lost both of her sons: Billy Ray Gibson and Daniel S. Gibson, as well as a grandson, Shawn Gibson. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Meryl Disney Bulwinkle and Mary Katherine “Katchie” Disney Crowley. Betty has lived in many corners of the United States and had an illustrious livelihood. She was a housewife and loving mother, and she has owned Remount Beauty Shop, Wig Imports, as well as a dress shop on King Street, The Green Tulip. The family wishes to thank Homestead Hospice for their loving care and thoughtful concern for Betty.
