Rodney "Rod" W. Simister

. Rodney Warren Simister, June 23, 1933 – March 25, 2023, Hilton Head Island, SC Rodney Warren Simister passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Dorothy. He is also survived by his sister Barbara, 6 children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rod was born in Queens, NY and he and his wife, Dorothy Holly Simister moved to Hilton Head Island in 1994. He served in the Navy and followed that with degrees from Queens College and New York University. His career included work at Fairleigh Dickenson University, ABC, and his own computer consulting business. In his retirement years, Rod enjoyed time at the island computer club assisting others. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, hosting family visits and socializing with the many friends they met while living on Hilton Head Island. Services will be private.
