Elinor Louise Armetta

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Elinor Louise Armetta was born on January 15, 1934, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. For many years she lived on Long Island with her husband Vito and her three sons. In 1993, Elinor and Vito relocated to Hilton Head Island where they have enjoyed a beautiful life here. Elinor loved to laugh. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her whole life. Each and every new member of the family was a treasure. She loved to reminisce about the old days and loved show tunes, and old movies. A proud citizen and patriot of our country. Elinor had tremendous faith and love of God and the church. She was a friend to everybody and embraced all those who crossed her path in life. Elinor is survived by her husband Vito of 69 years, her sons; Frank of Polk City, FL, John (Lisa) of New York, NY, and Joseph (Omei) of West Islip, NY. She cherished her grandchildren Frankie (Amanda), Cristina, Eric, Mark, Daniel, Kelly, Bryan, Shelby, and great-grandchildren Annie, Chloe, Emilio, Olivia, and Scarlett. May she rest in peace, and may her memory live on in the hearts of all of those who knew her. Love you, Love you, Love you. Her funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 3 at 10:00 am at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, Hilton Head Island, followed by burial in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
