OBITUARY – Robert L. “Bob” Lowery – Columbia – Services for Robert L. “Bob” Lowery, 88, of Columbia, will be private. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements. Bob Lowery passed away April 12, 2022. Born in Aliquippa, PA, he was a son of the late Elmer Lesley Lowery and Helen Myrtle Thomas Lowery. Bob served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, and retired as a Sergeant First Class after 21 years of service. He was an amazing wood carver, clock maker and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Bob was a member of Rolling Thunder Veteran’s Motorcycle Club, and the “Hog Owners Association” and a life member of the National Rifle Association. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Iris Ott Lowery; children, Robert L. Lowery, Jr., Steven Lowery, Mark Lowery, David Lowery and their spouses; step-daughter, Sheree Ott Misik; his first wife and the mother of his children, Nancy A. Lowery; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his parents. The family requests no flowers, please. Memorials may be made to the Missions Department of Christian Life Church of Columbia, 2700 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29210.
