Richard Raymond Wood (Ricky/ Rick) passed away at his home on Oct. 6, 2019 at the age of 68. Rick is predeceased in death by his mother Sibbieleen Russell and his 3 brothers. Gregory Lee Wood, Jeffery Carr Wood, and Mark Owen Wood. Rick is survived by his loving wife Tammy Travelstead of 15 years. They were married in Vienna, IL on March 19, 2004. He is also survived by sister Deborah Ann Jones (Jim) of Clinton, TN and brother Timothy Brian Wood of Clinton, TN. Rick is lovingly remembered by his daughters Michele Davis (Michael) of Cottageville and April Harner (Adam) of Summerville. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Logan, Hunter, Luke Davis, Bryce, Kyleigh, Olivia Harner and four nieces and one nephrew. Richard served in the United States Army as a Sergeant from 1968-1971. He is a Vietnam Veteran and received 9 unit medals. Ricky enjoyed fishing, watching football and playing with his fur babies Tasha, Cooper and Jasmine. Services will be held at Simplicity 281 Treeland Drive, Suite C Ladson, SC 29456 on Oct. 18th, 2019 from 2pm-3pm.
