Richard Eckert, Sr., 61, of Goose Creek, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018.Born on July 23, 1956 to Wayne and Betty Eckert, Richard attended Goose Creek High School and, as a teenager, was a gold glove-winning boxer. He loved bowling, shooting pool, Terry Labonte, the Dallas Cowboys and Elvis Presley. Richard is survived by his brothers: Mike and Wayne Eckert; his children: Amy Bertram and Richard Glenn Eckert, Jr; and his grandchildren: Reilly and Elley Bertram, and Richard Glenn Eckert, III. A memorial service will take place at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services (281 Treeland Drive, Ladson, SC 29456) on Friday, April 13 at 3:00 p.m.
