Kenneth Sham Murray

St. George, SC -Kenneth (Kenny) Sham Murray, 54, of St. George, SC, husband of Nancy Davis Murray, entered into eternal rest on May 28, 2018, at home, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with heart and kidney disease. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Memorial Baptist Church, 101 May Street, St. George, SC 29477. Visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service. Kenny was born on November 27, 1963, in Orangeburg, SC, the son of the late Benny C. Murray and Mary Dukes Murray. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Dorchester Academy, Lander University, and served in the Army National Guard. He was the owner of Precision Landscaping, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Murray, a daughter, English Elizabeth Murray (15), and a son, Davis Michael Murray (13), his mother, Mary Dukes Murray, a brother, Ryan Michael (Amy) Murray, a niece, Madison Taylor Murray (USC), a nephew, Benjamin (Ben) John Murray, all of St. George; uncles and aunts, James and Dolly Dukes, St. George, and Sal and Carol M Gentile, Shallotte, NC, and many cousins and friends. Kenny was predeceased in death by his father, Benny Murray, brother Ben R. Murray, and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Sham Dukes and Mr. and Mrs. Reeves Murray The family would like to thank Heather and Michelle with Amedisys Hospice for the care provided. In lieu of flowers, an education fund for the children has been established at South State Bank, 5542 Memorial Blvd, St. George, SC 29477. Simplicity Cremation and Burial Services, Ladson location are in-charge of arrangements.
