Larry Amos Grainger
August 17th, 1949 - March 19th, 2021
Larry Amos Grainger, 71, of Summerville, SC, passed on Friday, March 19th, 2021, after a 2 year battle with cancer. Larry was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud veteran. He lived his life bravely until the end, never complaining and only concerned with caring for his family and his dog, Toby. Larry is veteran of the United States Army and served in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade in Vietnam. He also served the United States Navy as a rigger at both the Charleston Naval Shipyard and Detyens Shipyard. Larry is survived by Fran Grainger, his wife of 49 years; his son, John Grainger (Lisa); daughter, Lisa Grainger; grandchildren, Sierra Cook (Zach), Kayla Rozo (Juan), and Alex Grainger. You may visit with family on 2:30-3:30PM, Tuesday, March 30, 2012 at Simplicity Lowcountry cremation and Burial located at 281 Treeland Dr., Ladson, SC, 29456. Larry will be laid to rest 2:00PM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC where full Military Honors shall be accorded.
