John Patrick Daly

John Patrick Daly, Sr., 84, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on August 11, 2021. John was lovingly known as Pop Pop and Poppa John. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 13, 1937. John graduated from Fort Hamilton High School, then spent time in the Air Force Reserves, married his wife Gloria on August 23, 1958, and raised their family in Central New Jersey. Later in life, John found a love of sailing and eventually moved to South Carolina. After he retired he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and most of all with his grandchildren. He spent countless hours around his kitchen table doing homework with them, barbequing for them and their friends at the pool, and of course, was a constant fan at all their sporting events. As one of the kids said, “He was a wonderful man who would have done anything for us.” He truly was the kind of man that would have helped anyone, family, friend, neighbor, or stranger! John is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Carrie Daly and his youngest Brother Patrick Francis Daly and is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Gloria Ann Daly, and brother Michael Joseph Daly and his and Gloria’s children; John Patrick Daly, Jr., Dawn Ann DeMeo (Anthony), Patrick Joseph Daly, Sr. (Suzette), Michael Thomas Daly, their Grandchildren; Joshua Aaron Brown (Paige), Shane O’Ryan Brown (Meagan), Elizabeth Ann DeMeo, Anthony Michael DeMeo (Simone), Justin Waldorf, Patrick Joseph Daly, Jr., Emily Lee Daly, and Six Great Grand Children; Savannah Grace, Connor Mason, Kaden Matthew, Hadley Ann, Olivia Grace, and Anthony Peter.
