Malik Antonio Mixon

Malik Antonio Mixon, 20, of Summerville passed away on the morning of August 11, 2022. Malik was born May 17, 2002. Malik graduated from Summerville High School and Trident Technical College in May of 2020. Malik was an active member of Charleston Food and Beverage industry, but was most recently working at Laura’s in Summerville. Malik spoke fondly of his new co-workers and guests of the restaurant. Malik had plans to pursue a career in nursing, continue traveling and expanding upon his love for music. Malik leaves behind his mother, Cheryl Tilton of Summerville; his stepfather, Richard Sallie; his three little sisters, Heaven, Caliannya, and Jalayna of Summerville; his little brother, Malachi of Texas; his grandparents, Patricia and Michael Boyce of Summerville; his aunt, Ashley Boyce of Charleston; his great-grandfather, James Tilton of Summerville; his great-aunts, Karen Maxwell and Tina Tilton of Summerville, Barbara Shively of Florida, Susie Schiel of Washington, Jeannie West, of California; his great-uncles, James Tilton Jr., Bill Tilton, and William West of Summerville, Barry Shively of Florida, Joe Schiel of Washington; and many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and so many friends that he was deeply loved by. Malik was anteceded in death by his Great-Grandmother Elizabeth Tilton of Summerville. The Service will be held at Simplicity in Ladson on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 12pm to 2pm.
