A gathering of friends and family for Richard Edward “Dicky” Harrison, Jr., 67, of Gaston, will be held at Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, September 12, 2022. Richard, or “Dicky” as he was known to his family, passed away September 6, 2022. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Richard E. Harrison, Sr. and Jacqueline Ellisor Harrison. Richard spent most of his working years as a construction worker. He also enjoyed watching “Amazing Facts” on television. In his younger years, he enjoyed spending time and working with his grandfather in his nursery, Harrison’s Nursery in West Columbia. Richard is survived by sisters, Sharon Dawn Harrison McCollister, Deborah Ann Harrison Davis, Melissa Pauline Harrison White, all of West Columbia; nephews, Richard Anthony “Tony” Watts of Gaston, Blu Shane Watts (Amy) of Lexington; nieces, Jennifer McCollister Jeffery of West Columbia, Erin McCollister Owensby (Nick) of Lexington, Logan White Meeks (Tyler) of Beulaville, NC; great nieces and nephews, and a large and loving extended family. Richard was predeceased by his father and mother, Richard E. Harrison, Sr. and Jacqueline Ellisor Harrison; brother, Robert Anthony Harrison. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Three Angels Seventh-day Adventist Church, Post Office Box 3044, Leesville, SC 29070
