Peter Eric Laraviere

Peter Eric La Raviere, 84, of Ladson, SC, passed away on March 9, 2024. Peter was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois on February 20, 1940. He was a man who cherished his time outdoors, enjoying trail walking, bike riding, and working in his backyard shop. Peter found solace in reading, solving puzzles, and delving into military history at museums and historic sites. He is survived by his beloved wife, Madeleine "Lynn" La Raviere, his children Erica La Raviere (Bridget), Pamela Sorenson (Richard), Curtis Elmore, and Stephanie Poston, along with grandchildren Kristie, Dylan "DJ", Dalton, Hannah (Tyler), Emily, and Amber, and great-grandchildren Oaklynn and Lileigh. Peter was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Rich, Russ, and Judy. Peter's educational journey led him to Charleston Southern University. He served 10 years in the Navy, followed by working in Civil Service at the Naval Shipyard. In honoring his wishes, there will not be a service.
