Linda Gail Rhodes

Linda Gail Rhodes, age 79, of Summerville, SC passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was born December 21, 1942, in Greensboro, Georgia to Thomas R. Christopher and Mamie Helen Robertson Christopher. She served as a secretary for The Church of God and retired as a clerk from the Town of Lincolnville. Linda served her community, crocheting countless blankets and making hats for the homeless. She was loved by so many and was known as “Grammy” to everyone who met her. She loved to sing Gospel music, served as the Women’s Ministry Director, and taught Bible classes for many years. Linda loved her family deeply. She was married to Edward E Rhodes Jr for 52 years, who proceeded her in death in 2012. She is survived by her children Deborah Lynne Kelcy (Charles), Richard Allen Rhodes (Terry), and Jennifer Marie Miller (Timothy) and grandchildren David Allen Lennex, Cole Dalton French, Wesley Alexander Rhodes (Alyssa), Owen Richard Rhodes, Deanna Lynne Baldwin (Devon) and great granddaughters Alexis Anne-Marie Rhodes and Abygail Faye Sager. She is also survived by three sisters: Chris, Sue, and Joann, and one brother: Thomas and many beloved nieces and nephews. Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, October 1st at Our Father’s House at 2242 Wren Street in North Charleston SC at 2:00 pm.
