Eugene F. Rorie Sr., 79, of Charleston, SC, passed away on February 8, 2019 at his home. He was born in Aberdeen, NC on April 1st, 1939, son of the late John Sylvester and Minnie Freeman Rorie. He is survived by his spouse (the love of his life), Sarah Pressley Rorie, and his son Eugene ‘Freeman’ Rorie Jr, his two grandchildren Eugene ‘Freeman’ Rorie III and Amanda Snider, and his three great – grandchildren Zendaya Rorie, Lakelyn Rorie, and Christopher Snider. He is also survived by his two sisters Faye Ellis Nichols and Maxine Gore. Eugene F. Rorie served in the United States Air Force and worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard until his retirement in 1995. He was a devote Christian and husband. He spent many hours working on cars with his son and grandson. He will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 11:00am at Riverview Memorial Park in Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Roper St. Francis Hospice.
