A funeral service celebrating the life and legacy of Charlotte Ann O?Brian Roach, 80, wife of the late SFC/POW John Alexander Roach of Columbia will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with entombment to follow. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements Mrs. Roach departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 12, 2011. She was born on April 20, 1931 in Prince George County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Brody Marsh and Clara Beck O?Brian. She retired from Sloan Construction Company. Charlotte loved reading, doing crossword puzzles & jigsaw puzzles. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are her loving sons, William M. (Kim) Roach, Larry J. Roach. And Brian D. Roach; her daughter, Jacqueline R. Swindler; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Mrs. Roach was predeceased by her son, John A. Roach, II, a sister, Peggy O. Yancey and a brother, Raymond O?Brian.
