Cathy Duncan

Cathy Ann Duncan, age 55, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2018, in her home. She was born June 5, 1962, in Clarksburg West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Jay Duncan; daughters Susan Beto Turley and husband Gregory Turley; Sara Jo Schmidt and husband Jeremy Schmidt; son Brandon Duncan and wife Amanda Ferro-Duncan; siblings Mark Beto and wife Rhonda Beto; grandchildren Lucas and Vincent Turley, Peter Ferro and wife Devon Ferro, Matthew Ferro, Daniel Ferro, and Lily Duncan; great grandchild Johnny Ferro; and several nieces and nephews. She is the daughter of the late Joseph J. Beto. Cathy was very talented at crocheting, an avid reader, and beach enthusiast. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spending summer days in the pool, and playing with her twin grandsons; Cathy lived for her family. Cathy’s unfaltering strength and intestinal fortitude was an inspiration to everyone in her life. A memorial service will be held to honor Cathy on Thursday, January 11 at 1:00pm at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, 281 Treeland Dr. Ladson, SC 29456. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN) in memory of Cathy Duncan.
