Charleston, SC - Melody was born in Charleston, SC on September 4th 1974. Melody was called home Saturday November 5th, 2022. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Melody was a very giving person especially to the less fortunate in this world. She touched many lives whom she encountered throughout her life. Melody loved going to Folly Beach and music of all kinds. This little light of mine was her favorite childhood song and would sing it around the house many times with childlike enthusiasm. Melody was preceded in death by her father Hubert Martin Jr., her Granny Doris Craven and her brother Hubert Martin III (Buddy). She is survived by her husband Carlton Lee Batts, her Mother Debbie Bisset, nephew John Bisset and neice Dixie Martin. A memorial service will be held in the fellowship hall at Ashley River Baptist Church in Charleston, SC on Saturday November 19th at 11:00 am.
