Helen Martin Pierce, 71, of Charleston, SC, passed away on May 10, 2014. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and is survived by her two daughters, Maureen Pierce Waszkiewicz and Jennifer Candler Powell, and her grandchildren Trevor John Waszkiewicz and Catherine Louise Waszkiewicz. Helen was artistically talented, and loved doing craft projects with her family. She was a devout Catholic, and an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A Mass for Helen will be held later this year; please contact her daughter Jennifer at [email protected] for details. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services.
