Judith "Judy" Kuhn
November 1st, 2019
On Friday November 1st, 2019 Judy passed away. She has been battling her 3rd brand of cancer and congestive heart failure. She was surrounded by her husband Larry, family and friends. She lived life to the fullest. There will be two celebrations of life, one drop-in celebration of life on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 from 11am to 7pm at 21 Hawthorne Court, Bluffton South Carolina. The second celebration of life will be held at the Little Valley rod and gun club Saturday, July 18th during the Drugg and Kennison family reunion. She was born in Salamanca, NY. Judith Anne Drugg was the 3rd daughter born to Ward and Marry Drugg. Later, 2 more daughters joined the family to make her the middle child of 5 girls. Jean and Charlene are her older sisters and Susan and Mary June are her younger sisters. She would go on to live and love life large. She would have several careers in her life. Mother, wife, bartender, waitress, factory worker, Walmart remodel supervisor, and customer service specialist for Publix. She would also devote her life to the American legion auxiliary. She was an auxiliary president at the Olean legion and at the Cattaragus County level. She was most passionate about Junior Auxiliary, she finished up as 8th District Junior Chairperson. She supported her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren in all that they did. Driving to and cheering at sporting events, concerts, parades and performances. Being a band booster, a fundraiser, and a JROTC booster. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Mary Drugg and two infant sons. She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence Kuhn. Also by her children; Steve Kuhn, Vicki Ratzel (Farnham), Kathy Livingston (Kuhn) and Heather Gerwitz. Her grandchildren; Kelly Swift, Tiffany Livingston, Thomas Ratzel, Christopher Ratzel, Ashley Hutchinson, Danielle Hadley (Kuhn), Kelly Ratzel, Alyssia Hutchison, Kyle Livingston, Dominic Dziak, Julie Kuhn, Taya Oyer. Her great-grandchildren; Madison Ratzel, Allanah Colley, Rylie Hadley, Melanie Ratzel, Mia Meade, Theo Denning. Also by her best friend Cathy Lippert and her husband Matt. Her sisters, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, uncles, and cousins. Great Mother by Kerry Conn As I look upon my children, I wish that I will be, As great a mother to my children as my mother was to me She always knows what to say, and what I need to hear She always told me how it was, so simple and so clear. As mother and daughters do, we’d argue and we’d fight But though the tears and drama I love her with all my might. She looked the same every day I remember from when I’m young A few lines and wrinkles there, but still my beautiful mum. She’s always been so wise, she’s always been so strong She’s always been so stubborn and occasionally she’s wrong My mum is sure not perfect, as I sure I am not much too But mum’s know you inside out and advised you as you grew. Now days have come and time has passed where mum is growing weak And we don’t know the words to help and the right words to speak For losing mum’s there is no book or instructions what to say I hope I say the words right to help her on her way. For I love you mum, you are my world I thank you with all my heart I don’t know why you have to go and why we have to part But know you’re loved and cherished and we’re all here for you And know you’re going to a place where people love you to We love you and already miss you
