Elsie L. Smittle
July 12th, 1954 - May 10th, 2021
In Memoriam of Elsie Louise Smittle Born in Spokane, Washington on July 12th, 1954 she was the youngest child of Howard & Jean Smittle. A few years later the family relocated to Santiam Canyon & Willamette Valley area of Oregon where she would live for most of her life. She attended Stayton High School, Class of '72 & went on to have four children. She passed on her faith in God to her children & they can take comfort in knowing she is with Him. Throughout her life Elsie faced many struggles & hardships but she always found the strength to endure & overcome. Her will to survive is one of her most memorable qualities. Elsie was called home on May 10th, 2021 after a long & exhausting battle with heart failure. She is survived by her brothers Jim Smittle, Tom Smittle, Gerald Smittle, her children Christy Lopez (Tony), John Smith ( Criscella), Jena Waller (Patrick), Barbra Ward, as well as her beloved Grandchildren & Great-grandchildren. She loved her family deeply & although there is peace in knowing she is no longer suffering, she is greatly missed. "Honor her for all that her hands have done, & let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
