Florence Alcantara Sarmiento, 53 years old, of Ladson, SC passed away on March 11th at 11:59pm surrounded by family and friends that loved her. A viewing/visitation will be held Thursday, March 16th, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services. A funeral mass will be held Friday, March 17th, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church (510 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445). Florence was born March 5th, 1964, in Rosario Cavite, Philippines, daughter of Emmanuel and Leoncia Alcantara. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Esteban Sarmiento; son, Daniel Sarmiento; daughter, Dominique Dela Rosa (Armando); grandchildren, Kayli and Gabriel Dela Rosa; brothers, Noel, Andrew, Moshe (Jessica), and Andres Basa Alcantara II (Leslie); sister, Leilani Baird; nephews, Tyler, Emmanuel II “Manny”, Baby Andrew, Little Andy, Noah, Caden, nieces Amanda, Sheila, Catelyn, Frankie, Alex, Allie, Lana, and Leilah.
