Peter Riley January 3, 1945 – April 24, 2016 At sunrise on April 24, 2016 Peter Riley “teed off” on God’s eternal golf course. Pete is survived by his wife, Susan Cooney, his three children Sean Riley (Amy Riley), Tara Riley (Matt Herr), Megan Riley, two stepsons, Sean Cooney (Rachel Cooney), Patrick Cooney (Julie Cooney), his sister Georgia Levine (Arthur Levine), several grandchildren: Hayden, Anna Grace, and Conor Riley; Campbell and Ellison Herr; Abigail, Kiera, and Evelyn Cooney; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Pete was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor who will forever be remembered for the love he gave, his smile, and the many legacies he created throughout his life. Memorial Services for Peter will take place on May 25, 2016 at 3pm at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant, SC. Pete will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery in his birth town of Amsterdam, NY.
