Harry Sergaent Moore

Harry S. Moore, 77, of Daniel Island, SC passed away April 30, 2023 at home, surrounded by family. Harry was a devoted husband to Linda for 53 years, a loving father/father-in-law to Kristin Welborn (Brett) and was most proud to be “Pop” to his grandchildren, Caroline and Nicholas Welborn. Harry was born and raised in Highland Park, MI by Mary and Henry “Harry” Moore, Sr. He graduated from Dearborn High School in 1963. He spent memorable summers with his cousins in Wellington, Ontario Canada. He was an Army Veteran who served from 1966-1969. Harry worked for Continental Motors and built 5 homes in Muskegon, MI before relocating to Greenville, SC. He then worked 25 years for Michelin Tire Corporation on quality control engineering teams in the Greenville, SC and Detroit, MI offices. Upon retirement Harry and Linda moved to Sun City in Bluffton, SC where they enjoyed 10 years before moving to Daniel Island, SC to be near their daughter, Kristin and family. Hobbies throughout Harry’s lifetime were fishing, sailing, waterskiing, snow skiing, running, serving as a church docent, packing Meals on Wheels and reading, but his greatest joy came from spending time with family. In addition to his immediate family, he is also survived by a special niece, Leslie Bradford (Randy) and their children. Harry was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne White (Minor). A memorial service and interment is planned with immediate family at Church of the Cross in Bluffton, SC on May 20. This kind man with the bright blue twinkling eyes, who loved doing things for others, will be dearly missed
