Marcella Louise Postell
May 4th, 1947 - January 27th, 2024
Marcella Louise Postell, 76, of Ravenel, beloved sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, January 27, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. A graveside service to celebrate Marcella's life will be held on Thursday, February 1, at 2:00 PM at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The address for the service is 3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414. Marcy was born on May 4, 1947, in Charleston, the daughter of the late Susie Stone Roumillat and Marion Carlos Roumillat. She is survived by her brother Ronald Roumillat and sister Gwendolyn Guinn (Gene). She leaves behind three loving children: Melissa Louise Postell, George Alan Postell (Suzi), and Kevin Matthew Postell (Amy). She is also survived by six cherished grandchildren: Megan Louise Hickman Fulp (Dakota), Regan Holly Hickman, Rachel Postell, Georgia Postell, Ethan Postell, and Emma Postell. Marcella was a graduate of Art Beauty College and served as a beautician until she retired to devote her life to raising her children. She enjoyed spending time outside, doing yard work and gardening. She loved all kinds of flowers. She loved to go fishing and ride her bicycle. She especially enjoyed playing games with her granddaughters. Marcella was preceded in death by her first-born grandson, Matthew Alan Postell, her brother, Kenneth Roumillat, and friend Buddy Brinson. She was a devoted mother of three children and seven grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
