Hector Echevarria – Lexington – A Celebration of Life Service for Hector L. Echevarria, 73, of Lexington, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Lakeside Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Burial will follow the service in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, Wednesday prior to the funeral service at Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington. Hector Echeverria passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at his home. Born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Pedro Guzman and Alberta Echevarria. Hector is survived by his loving children; son, Joshua Echevarria, Sr. (Elizabeth) of Aiken; daughter, Nina Sachedina-Jacobs (Trey) of Lexington; son, David Echevarria, Sr. (Jessica) of Asheville, NC, daughter, Maria Mahaffey (Robert) of Lexington; grandchildren, Timothy, Samantha, Joshua, Jr., Phillip, Brandon , Sarah, Adeel, Angel, Genesis , David, Jr., Daniel, Nicole, Dylan, Sydney, Johnathan, Christopher , Jason, Brandi, Andrew ; great-grandchildren, Kinslie, Delilah, Maesyn, Payton, Tyler, Theia-Rose, Kibbin, Christian, Emma-Grace; sisters, Maria Teresa "Tere" Rodriguez (Graciano), Nereida Guzman. Hector is also survived by his fiancée, Teresa Lindler and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Hector was predeceased by a grandson, Christian Echevarria; brothers, Felix, Eduardo, Jose Echevarria, Pedro Guzman. Dad was a good father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. He was proud man who loved his family unconditionally. He loved going to the beach, fishing, listening to music and watching football. He was a hardworking man who taught his children that nothing comes free except love and that you have to be strong and work hard for your family. Hector’s family would like to thank Dr. Hess and his team of Lexington Medical Center for their loving care.
