Hugh Robert Charles Foster

WEST COLUMBIA-Hugh Robert Charles Foster, 78, of West Columbia, died Saturday, November 1, 2014. Born in Jamaica on January 24, 1936, he was the son of the late Ernest R. Foster and Ruth Munds Foster. He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Ascension and he had retired from sales at AAL (Aid Association for Lutherans) which is now Thrivent. Surviving are his wife, Selma Forrester Foster of the home; two daughters, Sandra and Heather Foster; two sons, Everton Foster (Inez) and Hugh Foster, Jr. (Dorcas); a sister, Lorna Edinborough; brother, Ernest Foster; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2014 at The Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 827 Wildwood Ave, Columbia, SC 29203; Reverend Jackie Utley will be presiding. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park Mausoleum. Woodridge Funeral Home, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072 is assisting the family.
