Mrs. Harriet C. White passed away peacedfully on April 28, 2021 at the age of 88. Mrs. White was born on April 17, 1933, in Barren County, Kentucky to James and Ruby Woodward. Mrs. White married James E. White on June 24, 1961 and they were married for 48 years before his passing. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers; Junior and Ford Woodward and sisters; Virginia Pearl Woodward, Rachel Smith and Joann Campbell. Harriet is survived by four children; Vicki (Lee) Jones, Bruce (Joann) White, Larry (Alice) White and Danny (Tina) White; five grandchildren; Chris (Christy) Taylor, Brittney, Carter, Caleb and Lucas White; three great-grandchildren Emily and Jaxon Taylor and Joelle White; sisters; Sadie Crapps and Mary Woodward; brothers; John, Bud and Hardy Woodward. She was known by Maw to many. She loved butterflies and cardinals. They adorned her room and she felt at peace with their presence. Harriet loved all things pink and wore it any chance she could. The full moon was known as the pink moon the night before her passing. Maw had a sweet tooth and loved ice cream, brownies and anything chocolate. Her last requests were Lays potato chips and Dr. Pepper. She loved her family and they loved her. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at The Lakeside Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the gazebo. Burial will follow the service in Woodridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prisma Health Hospice, PO Box 7275, Columbia, SC 29202.
