Albert Mack "Hanna" Brown, 86, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Albert Marion Brown and Juanita Cobb Youngblood. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Aline L. Brown of Columbia; his daughters, Teresa B. "Terri" (Brian S.) Asbill of Lexington, Wynne Dee B. (David) Cockfield of Lexington; and his loving grandchildren, Jessica C. (Joshua V.) Hinkel, Victoria A. (Dempsey Welch) Cockfield, Tyler M. Asbill and Joshua S. Asbill all of Lexington. Albert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and friend to many. He got the most enjoyment out of life being surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was a longtime member of Virginia Wingard Memorial UMC and the Men's Bible Class. He was a longtime member of the Gamecock Club and Carolina Baseball Dugout Club. Albert retired from the US Postal Service where he was an Accountant. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf, attending University of South Carolina Football, Basketball and Baseball games. He volunteered for a number of years for Meals on Wheels. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Oakleaf Village of Lexington and Lexington Medical Center for their loving care and support for both Mr. and Mrs. Brown. The family will receive friends at Virginia Wingard Memorial UMC from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016. Funeral services will follow at 11a.m. Interment will be in Woodridge Memorial Park. Contributions in his loving memory may be made to Virginia Wingard Memorial UMC, 1500 Broad River Rd., Columbia, SC 29210.
