Michael Wojcik

Michael Wojcik, Jr. of Gaston, husband of Bette Raszowski Wojcik, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016. He was born on August 24, 1940, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to the late Michael Wojcik, Sr. and Mary Solecki Wojcik. Michael was a volunteer fireman for ten years in Ballouville and South Killingly, CT. He also enjoyed scuba diving and went on several deep sea dives in New Jersey. In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by three children; Rebecca White (Mark), Andrew Wojcik (April) and Mary Jane Winkler (Paul); eight grandchildren, Patrick, Gabrielle and Adam White, Ieshia Wilcox, Andie Marie Wojcik, Madison Eve Wojcik, Jason Winkler and Aaron Winkler; two brothers, Peter Wojcik (Tina) and John Wojcik; three sisters, Stella LaRose (Robert), Victoria Swanson and Jeanne Bonczek (Ronald). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Harvey. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington Chapel.
