GILBERT - Richard John Schaum - A Catholic Mass celebrating the life of Richard J. Schaum will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2350 Augusta Highway, Lexington, SC 29072. Father Ray Carlo will officiate. Just beyond his 90th birthday, Richard passed from earthly life into eternal life on July 27, 2016. As we pray for the repose of his soul, we ask him to pray for us as we continue our life's journey. Richard was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and was a World War II Navy veteran, having served on an LST in the South Pacific. His love of automobiles led him to a management career in the automotive industry.
