Esther Mathis

Funeral services for Esther Mathis, 69, of Chapin, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the Lakeside Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington with interment to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Mathis passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at her home. Born in Oakland, California, she was a daughter of the late Joe V. and Elena Montanez. Esther is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Larry R. Mathis; daughters, Andrea Mathis of Columbia, Kira Kirkland (Sean) of Chapin; son of her heart, Mike Dyess; sister, Betty Menetrey (Ron), of Watsonville, CA; and brother, Joe Montanez of Cupertino, CA. In addition to her parents, Esther was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Kathy Montanez.
