February 17th, 1947 - December 28th, 2022
A Celebration of Life service for Tommy Leaphart, 75, of Lexington, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Mausoleum Chapel at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Pastor Jeff Powell will officiate. Interment in Woodridge Memorial Park will follow the service. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel at Woodridge. Tommy Leaphart passed away December 28, 2022. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Nathan Quinton Leaphart and Jessie Virginia Gladden Leaphart. Tommy was a former lead singer for the “Corsairs” band, and he also enjoyed fishing and music. He was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church, and attended as his health allowed. Tommy was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by his large and loving family. Tommy is survived by his son, Kevin Thomas Leaphart (Angie); grandsons, Bryson Bobby Leaphart and Tobias Mason Kelly; brothers, David Keith Leaphart (Lori), Christopher Wayne Leaphart (Cheryl); sister, Cynthia Ann Leaphart Dickey. In addition to his parents, Tommy was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Jean Leaphart Hulsey and a niece, Melanie Hulsey. The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Medical Center Extended Care for their compassionate care of him. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 6276, West Columbia, SC 29071.
