Joyce Marie Miller

Joyce Marie Miller, 83 years old, of Elgin, South Carolina, passed away on May 5, 2024. Joyce was born on May 15, 1940 in Dansville, New York. She joined the Army in 1973, where she met her husband, Thomas R. Miller. In 2000, Joyce retired from the Army as a Staff Sergeant and moved to their home in Elgin, where she lived until her passing. Joyce is survived by her only son, Charles O. Brown (Sheryl) of Washington; sisters-in-law, Susan Mansur and Sandy Czarnick; brothers-in-law, Jim Miller, Jeff Miller; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and soon to be 8 great-great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Miller, and by great grandchildren, Helen and Gail Brown of Curlew, WA; and Patience Layton of Colville, WA. The family will hold a private graveside service, and her family will be notified when services are to be held. Joyce will be buried with US Army honors.
