Kenneth Martin Senn, 84, of Lexington, SC, passed away on February 18, 2021. Born in West Columbia, SC on September 22, 1936, he was the son of John Martin Senn and Abbie Dennis Senn. Kenneth graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School in 1956, then joined the US Air Force, stationed in Kansas, until 1960. He was a part-owner of Senn Brothers at the State Farmer’s Market, then after retirement, was part-owner of Martin-Hunter Properties. As a member of Lexington Baptist Church, Kenneth served as deacon and deacon chairman, Sunday School teacher, Awana teacher, children’s Sunday School coordinator, children’s choir helper, Royal Ambassadors teacher, chaperone for the high school mission trips to New York and Tennessee, volunteered at the Family Life Center, and was “Mr. Tea Man” for Wednesday night suppers. Kenneth was fond of dancing, playing hand & foot card games, aerobics, and western movies. He also loved traveling and enjoyed many trips with special friends, Gene & Nell Rabon. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Womble Senn; children: Robert Senn (Beth) of Lexington, Kristina Senn Taylor (Steve) of Lexington, Rev. Kevin Senn (Ann) of Elizabeth City, NC; grandchildren: Tanner Senn, Bryan Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Peter Taylor, Kaitlyn Taylor, Annabelle Taylor, Abigail Senn and Stephen Senn; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Teresa Senn Perkins of New York. He is predeceased by his parents, John Martin Senn and Abbie Dennis Senn. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2:30pm at Lexington Baptist Church, 308 E. Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, SC 29170. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service at 1:30pm. The family wishes to thank caregivers, Mary, Taylor and Sabrina, as well as Dr. Don Schmechel and Dr. James Chapman. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to: Emmanuel Baptist Church, 109 Chadburn Avenue, Elizabeth City, NC 27909. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the Senn family.
