Jeffrey Karl Runkle
3-10-1985 - 6-1-2024
Jeffrey K. Runkle, 39, of Saint Petersburg Fl. A beloved Son, Brother and Uncle Passed away with his family by his side, June 1, 2024, at St. Anthony’s Hospital. Born March 10, 1985 his Father, Jeffrey R. Runkle and Mother, Kathleen A. Felicioni (Deceased).
He is survived by his parents Jeffrey and Jeanie Runkle; his sisters; Yvonne L. Huth, Jennifer Roberts, Ami and Tiffani Minear, Jeni Runkle; his uncle Jay Runkle and his Aunt Jill Runkle; his Nieces Kaila Melendez, Chloe Huth, a Nephew Michael Roberts, As well as Cousins on both sides and his Fiance Ginamarie Ullio.
Jeffrey was a child that just didn’t stop, always full of wonder and adventure. When he was a tot, he sometimes would go to work with his dad. Jeff had his own Lawn Business and Jeffrey thought he was the Assistant crew chief. It was so funny to hear him
be so bossy, giving orders and tell them to go "weedeat.”
When Jeffery started school, he loved going and meeting new kids, he made lots of friends that he kept through adult life and sometimes they would get into a lot of mischief. Learning was easy for him he was always very excited to share his knowledge with his mom and dad. When he was about 6, he started karate classes and excelled, it was always a joy to watch him “split that board” and see the big smile on his face. He continued to achieve a variety of belt colors. As parents we beamed as much as he did.
Family was very important to Jeffrey. He always stayed in contact with his sisters Yvonne and Jennifer, on his mom’s side. He wanted so much for them to be proud of him. As the kids grew older family dinners were THE BEST OF TIMES! We all enjoyed swimming in our pool playing water basketball and most of all “Chicken” who would go down first. As the game finished it was then time for Ami and Tiffani to Dunk Jeffrey while Little Jeni was crying for the girls not to hurt BUTTER Jeffrey.
Jeffery was a “fixer” he loved working on his dads 67 Chevelle Malibu, they had a wonderful time, it was always such an achievement to get it running again so they could take it for a spin. Another favorite past time of Jeffery’s was going fishing with his dad, such great memory and peaceful time.
As Jeffery began his career, he followed in his dads’ footsteps and became a lawn Maintenance expert. He took pride in his work and adding beauty with his landscaping skills, however weed eating and trimming was the thing he enjoyed the most. Through his experience working with his dad, he also worked in the auto industry where he used his knowledge to figure out what was wrong with cars and how to get them back on the road, whether it was just a bad tire or an oil change. Jeffery would figure it out and go home to Gina to talk about his day and have a nice dinner and then enjoy watching a movie to end the day.
As Jeffery became of age, nothing he and his dad enjoyed more than coming home after a hot day of Fishing, lawncare or car repairs to an ice cold
