Karen Grace Brown, 71, wife of Walter (Wayne) Brown, passed away on June 9, 2024 in Lakeland, Florida. Karen was born in Lexington, Kentucky on January 19, 1953 to the late Hugh McLean Moody and Burdetta Masters Moody. Karen worked as a medical receptionist at Dr. Stephen Drapers Office and for Jessamine Medical for many years. Karen loved socializing by Spending time with her friends and family, playing cards, traveling, golfing, and fishing. She loved spending time with all her four grandchildren. 

 

In addition to her husband, Walter, she is survived by her two children, Sean Brown, Walter Brown Jr.; four grandchildren Dalton Brown, Cavin Brown, Alyssa Grace Brown, and Trey Brown; two sisters Brenda McAnly, and Eva (Michael) Wright; two nieces Jennifer (Mac) Hager and Kara (Christopher) Sayles; nephew JP (Victoria)Wright; two Great Grandchildren Noah Brown and Dewayne Brown; two Great Nephews Lane Hager and Cyrus Sayles; two Great Nieces Brynn Hager and Lucy Sayles. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her Grandparents the late Samuel Maurice Masters and Grace Garrett Masters and the late Harvey Edgar Moody and Blanche Hagedorn Moody.

 

A funeral service will be held for Karen on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, KY with the Reverend Nathan Elliott officiating. Visitation will be from 11am till time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville, KY. The Pallbearers will be Lane Hager, Mac Hager, J.P. Wright, Dalton Brown, Walter Brown Jr., and Sean Brown.
