It is with much love and caring that we announce that Diana Lee Klensin passed on, on April 24th, 2024.
Diana was born on July 14th, 1946 to Mary and Steve Jewell in Buffalo, New York. Her family moved to Tucson when she was in high school. She attended Amphi High School. Diana graduated from the University of Arizona with both a bachelor's and master's degree. Diana touched the lives of many students as both a teacher and school counselor. She worked for Tucson Unified School District, Sunnyside School District, and Unity School of Creative Living.
Diana was married to Fran Klensin for 51 years. In retirement, Diana enjoyed supporting her son as he participated in 4-wheel drive competitions. Watching hockey games, her favorite team was the Penguins. Diana created beautiful quilts for each of her family members. She helped raise her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow. She loved collecting penguins and caring for her Boston Terrier, Rusty.
Diana was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother to Fran Klensin (husband), Mike Klensin (son), Alyssa Klensin (grandaughter), Marilyn Montrose (daughter), Joe Montrose (son-in-law), Joseph Montrose (grandson), Robert Montrose (grandson) and Rusty!
Diana lived a life of creativity and love. Her creative spirit lives on in the many lives that she touched.
Diana was a long-time supporter of Youth On Their Own. Please donate in remembrance of her.
