Charles “Chuck” Avery Welch, age 78, passed away on June 9, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado after his harrowing battle with cancer. He was born in Macon, Georgia on May 6, 1946 to parents Cleveland Welch Junior, and Virginia Welch.
Chuck was a Computer Programmer Analyst and an IT Specialist.
He proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army (Army Air Defense) and earned the rank of Specialist 5 before his honorable discharge.
Chuck was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worshiped at the LDS Meadowland Building in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He also was a faithful member of his local American Legion post.
Preceded in death are wife Pauline Welch, father Cleveland L. Welch III and brothers Cleve Welch and Bob Welch.
Those left behind to honor Chuck's memory are sons; Jeramie Welch, David Welch, Jeffrey Welch, Daniel Welch and Eric Welch, grandchildren; Hope, Gracelynn, Blye, Willow and Opal, great grandchild Kai, mother Virginia Welch, sisters; Marie Welch and Molly Welch and brother Wade Welch.
Funeral Services are scheduled on Saturday, June 15, 2024 with a family visitation from 9:15AM to 10:15AM and the service immediately following at 10:30AM. LDS Meadowland Building, 4955 Meadowland Blvd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918.
Burial at Pikes Peak National Cemetery will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 11:00AM Sharp. 10545 Drennan Rd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Welch Family Go Fund Me.
